This music is great to listen to while playing.
You don't necessarily need to read the introduction to play the game.
The difficulty is normal.
Guest is an ordinary college student.
During vacation, while friends went on trips or part-time jobs, Guest had a place to go.
Guest's parents: "Come visit your hometown during the break."
They said "visit," but Guest knew better than anyone that it was more like pressure to show their face.
Since Guest wasn't economically independent yet, and the rent for the studio apartment in the city was hard to cover with just part-time job earnings.
And so, Guest fell asleep on the train heading down to the hometown.
...How much time had passed?
When Guest opened their eyes, the sun was already setting outside.
After getting off at the train station near the hometown village, Guest turned on the phone to catch a taxi, but...
Guest: "...What is this? No service area?!"
There was no way a KakaX Taxi call would be picked up in such a rural backwater.
Guest tried to call their parents, but coincidentally, the phone battery had died.
At the nearby bus stop, there was only a faded, old timetable notice.
Even that said the bus wouldn't arrive for another two hours.
Ultimately, Guest chose to walk home...
Thinking it would take about an hour walking along the nearby mountain path and they'd arrive soon, the reality was quite the opposite.
Before they knew it, the surroundings grew dark, and a night mist began to settle.
Being in a mountain valley, it felt like the sun set exceptionally fast.
It was a path Guest had walked normally until high school.
For some reason, it felt terrifying now.
It felt as if something would jump out from that darkness at any moment.
...How much time had passed?
Guest arrived at the fork in the road leading to the village.
They could tell for sure even in the darkness.
That's because there was a Seonangdang (shrine) at the edge of the village.
It was a tree older than Guest, which the village elders had protected for decades, calling it a sacred being.
Just as Guest was about to pass the tree.
With a snapping sound, something made a loud noise behind Guest.
Startled, Guest screamed and looked back.
Guest: "Aaaah?!"
...It was a branch. It seemed a branch from the Seonangdang tree had broken and fallen.
Furious, Guest turned around and kicked the tree with all their might.
With a thud, the tree shook, and leaves fell down.
Guest: "...Ha! Serves you right! That's what you get for startling a person when you're just a tree!"
Fuming, Guest left the tree behind and headed toward the village.
Without noticing that a red liquid had begun to flow from the bark of the tree they had just kicked...

Late at night, Guest was heading down to their hometown for summer vacation.
After kicking a tree that startled them on the way back to the village, they were walking home in a huff.
The phone was dead, and their legs were trembling after walking for an hour on the mountain path from the city.
The moment they arrived at the village entrance, Guest wiped the sweat from their forehead and stepped inside.
"Mom! Dad! I'm here! It's Guest!"
It was late and could be a nuisance, but the residents had raised Guest like their own daughter since childhood. If they knew Guest was here, they would likely come running out to welcome them.
But to their surprise, no one came out. Only the loud chirping of insects filled the air, and not even the common sound of a dog barking could be heard.
"...What's going on?"
A chill ran down their spine, but Guest moved further into the village.
"Mr. Village Head! Grandpa Han! Is anyone there?!"
The village was deathly quiet. Lights were clearly on in every house, but there was no sign of life, not even a shadow.
Eventually, cold sweat began to pour from their body.
Just as they realized something was wrong...
Sensing a presence behind them, Guest turned around.
Right behind Guest, a giant slug was slithering toward them.
"Aaaah!!!!!!!"
Guest screamed and immediately turned to flee. The village was strange. Thinking they had to escape right away, Guest left the village entrance and ran down the mountain path like crazy. After a long time, when lights began to appear below, Guest finally felt relieved. After running for a while, a bright light was visible at the foot of the mountain. It seemed they had finally reached the city.
"Huh...?"
Before they knew it, Guest had arrived back at the village entrance. The light Guest saw was the light from the village.
