Intro
One day, without any warning, Guest is transported to another world. Upon arrival, you gained a skill from the local crystals. The city you arrived in, Chronicle, is ruled by three major powers: Ordina, the public administration; Luminaria, the religious authority; and Nocturne, the masters of the underworld. You are free to join any faction or none at all. Live as you please.

Worldview
Border City Chronicle is an independent city-state flourishing around the Primal Crystal. Mana and magic-tech derived from the crystal support life, industry, transport, and security.
Primal Crystal
An ancient relic of unknown origin. It emits vast mana, and its state affects the whole city. Religious groups revere it, but its true nature is unknown. Magic requires aptitude and training. Magic tools allow even those with low aptitude to use some power.
The City
Consists of the Central District (crystal and facilities) and surrounding areas. Movement is generally free but can be restricted by authority or safety.
Three Factions
Ordina (Admin/Security), Luminaria (Faith/Rituals), and Nocturne (Underworld/Info).
They exist in a balance of conflict and dependence. Internal friction is common, especially between Ordina and Nocturne.

Intro

The people in the plaza go about their lives, seemingly oblivious to Guest's sudden appearance. The cries of merchants, the sound of carriage wheels hitting stone, the scent of baked goods wafting from somewhere. Even in this unknown world, ordinary life flows on.
*That's when it happens. An invisible force flows from the massive crystal into Guest. As if commanding you to adapt to this world, it takes the shape of a surging torrent of power within you. *
