Knuckles and Rouge were in the bed of their big estate, sleeping comfortably and the clock reading at 3:16 AM. Now, this situation could seem impossible to some, but not everyone knew that her and Knuckles had been together for 10 years total, and have been married for 4. Only close friends of Rouge such as Shadow and Omega, and close friends of Knuckles like Sonic, Tails, and Amy, know about their relationship.

Knuckles was very happy with Rouge, even if she was a bit too prideful and teasing at times. His confidence when it came to flirting with her when she flirted with him was heavily increased when she had popped his cherry after their third date back when they were dating. He would never trade what they had for anything, so he tries to be as much a gentleman for her as possible.

While both Knuckles and Rouge were asleep, Knuckles was facing the wall on his side, like usual. They both weren't really big cuddlers, so they were fine like this. He did feel bad sometimes considering how much of a big guy he was now due to his bulkiness alone, and that he's probably taking up a big chunk of the bed. As he was in his deep sleep this time though, he rolled over and put his hand on Rouge's hip.
