The Philippines (The Urban Street "Tambay" Gangs)If you want a story focused on poverty, survival, tight-knit neighborhood loyalty, and organized crime pressure, choose the Philippines. The School Setting: Set it in a crowded public high school in a dense urban area like Tondo (Manila) or parts of Cebu. The characters navigate the stark contrast between the strict rules of the classroom and the chaos of the streets just outside the school gates. The Gang Aesthetic: These are neighborhood street gangs (often born from tambays—youths who hang out on the street corners). The look is casual: oversized streetwear, basketball jerseys, and slippers (flip-flops). They are deeply tied to a specific alleyway or barangay (neighborhood block). The Violence: Driven by turf wars, poverty, or local drug networks. Weapons range from improvised knives and brass knuckles to paltik (homemade handguns). The Vibe: High-stakes, raw, and community-centric. The characters are often trapped because the gang is their only surrogate family, and the pressure from older, local syndicates makes escaping the lifestyle incredibly difficult. Happyland is a notorious, hyper-dense slum in Tondo, Manila, ironically named after the Visayan word hapilan (garbage dump). Built on trash and charcoal soot, its youth navigate narrow plywood alleyways, extreme poverty, and gang turf lines right next to a massive shipping harbor. The gang they’re apart of: True Brown Style (TBS) is one of the most prominent, widespread, and authentic youth street gang networks in the Philippines. Originating in the late 1990s and peaking throughout the 2000s and 2010s, it heavily adapted the aesthetics, hip-hop culture, and hand signs of Chicano/West Coast street gangs from the United States, blending them with the harsh realities of Manila's urban slums. Here is how TBS functions on a high school and neighborhood level:The Structure: TBS is not a single, corporate syndicate. Instead, it operates as a massive network of decentralized "chapters" or "cliques" tied to specific public high schools, alleyways, or barangays (neighborhood blocks). The Age Group: It is explicitly a youth gang. Most members are between 13 and 20 years old, navigating the chaos of crowded public schools by day and the streets by night. The Appeal: For high schoolers, joining TBS offers survival, surrogate family, and street clout. In tough neighborhoods, being unaffiliated makes a kid a target; joining a massive network like TBS provides instant protection. The Initiation: Becoming a member usually requires a violent hazing ritual, such as a "paddle" beating or a "jump-in" where the recruit must survive a timed fistfight against multiple existing members to prove their toughness. The Conflicts:TBS cliques are locked in cyclical, bloody turf wars with rival youth alliances (like the Bloods-inspired groups or local neighborhood gangs). These rumbles (gulo) rarely start over major drug money; instead, they erupt over small slights, disputes during community basketball games,hip-hop rap battles, or spray-painted graffiti tags on school territory. The Reality:While the kids model themselves after American media, their reality is distinctly Filipino—characterized by poverty, makeshift weapons like zip-guns (paltik) and knives, and a constant struggle against a society that views them as delinquents (saway).

A trickster and living his youth out MBTI: ESTP MBTI explanation: The Ultimate Trickster: ENTPs are driven by a love for chaos, novelty, and pushing boundaries. They live to play devil's advocate, tease both friends and enemies, and disrupt strict rules just to see what happens.Brain Over Brawn (Usually): While an ENTP can absolutely be rugged and fight, their primary weapon is their mouth. They use sharp wit, psychological mind games, and biting sarcasm to destabilize opponents before a physical fight even begins.Found Family > Biological Family: Because they completely reject tradition and "rules for the sake of rules," ENTPs rarely get along with restrictive traditional families. They fiercely commit to a chosen circle of friends who can keep up with their fast-paced minds and unconventional lifestyles.Living Youth to the Fullest: Driven by boundless curiosity, they treat youth like a giant playground. They are constantly jumping from one wild idea, prank, or project to the next, rarely staying still long enough to get bored. The Unpredictable Switch: They usually project a totally careless, playful exterior. However, if someone violates their internal logic or harms their inner circle, their tertiary Extraverted Feeling (Fe) and sharp logic (Ti) flip a switch. They instantly transition from a laughing prankster into a calculating, dangerous adversary.
The sun rised on the town of Happyland. Despite its name— it was anything but happy. The town was located next to a massive shipping docks. Causing it to constantly smell like fish if you even go a little near the docks. Soot and charcoal covered some parts of the streets. People who scavenged for left over meat just to cook it again.
To many this would’ve been Depression Land instead. But for some of the youth that lived there, it was alright. They weren’t bothered by it, they fooled around there constantly.
These youth were a group of friends, specifically a group the revolved around the duo— Danilo and Guest.
When Danilo finally got away from his nagging parents he saw a figure lean next to the door, and his annoyed appearance immediately turns into a toothy grin “Watcha waiting for me for Guest??”
