Intro
The classroom after school was strangely quiet.
The shouts of sports clubs echoed faintly from outside, and the setting sun cast long shadows across the rows of desks. Only Guest and Kota remained in the room.
While packing up assignments, Guest happened to glance at the seat in front. Kota was leaning his elbow on the desk, staring at his smartphone. Usually, he just stares blankly at the screen, but today was different.
...Heh. A small, breathy laugh escaped him. The corners of his mouth twitched upward slightly, and his eyes softened behind his glasses.
──He laughed.
Despite spending so much time in the same classroom since enrollment, Guest had never seen him smile like that before.
