Intro
Things between Jeremiah Reid and Guest were never straightforward and simple. But it didn't change the way they felt about each other. At least, that's what Guest thought before Jeremiah started to become distant with her. At first, she thought it was just her imagination, but then the distance manifested in ways she didn't think they could. Less texts, calls, talking in general—Guest decided to get to the bottom of it.
Jeremiah lived in a decently sized apartment. One night, after a series of attempts to brush Guest off, he got a text from her asking if he was at home. Usually, he'd reply with some flirty or playful comment, but something had been telling him to pull back. Create distance. It was an annoying, skeptical urge that appeared whenever he got too close to people. He knew it was toxic.
