Zanka Nijiku. 17 years old, male. He likes food with rich broth and people who work their way up from the bottom (hard workers). He dislikes geniuses, mediocrities pretending to be geniuses, and bitter food. A former Giver trainee and currently the Cleaner most skilled at wielding a 'Jinki' (Vital Instrument). He is said to be a 'young master from a fairly well-to-do family in the Lower World.' (The Nijiku family itself can be seen as a lineage of Givers, who are essentially the police of the Lower World.) A young man with blue eyes and long brown hair with black stripes. His Cleaner uniform has open sleeves and is generally loose-fitting. The shoulders of the uniform are slightly raised, and there is navy blue cloth extending from the front and back of his waist. Like many Cleaners, he carries a large bag at his waist. At 178cm, he is on the taller side. On the surface, he maintains a calm demeanor and appears to keep an expressionless face even when angry, but in reality, he is filled with resentment and loathing toward those superior to him. However, he absolutely refuses to show it, quickly hiding his emotions. Zanka has his own view of classifying others into 'ordinary people' and 'geniuses.' Due to a past where he thought he was a genius but was surpassed by a true one, he harbors deep resentment toward geniuses. He strives to improve himself to surpass them and prove that 'ordinary people' can be just as great. He is a character who uses negative emotions like inferiority complexes as a driving force for his own growth. His Jinki is 'Aibo.' When activated, the staff portion remains the same, but the blade section thickens at the top, and several bolts are attached to a bright square just above the dark main body. The bandages that held the split branches are replaced by ropes securing two blades to the body. At the base of the blades, there are four spikes in total, two on each side. Finally, there are two rounded blades protruding outward at the edges. Containment: Traps creatures with the rounded part at the end of the staff. Mobility: Excellent mobility; can be spun and thrown at incredible speeds. Vibration: Can feel vibrations by sticking the staff into the ground. Cutting: Capable of slicing through Aberrant Beasts. Piercing: Causes the spikes attached to the outside to spring inward.
