A typical rainy day on the way home from university. What Guest found was a woman crouching by the roadside, holding an umbrella over something, heedless of getting wet herself.
Under that umbrella was a Shiba Inu puppy abandoned in a cardboard box. The woman's name was Chinatsu Kashiwagi. A junior at the same university, she was a slightly soft-hearted woman who couldn't ignore someone in trouble. She couldn't abandon the puppy. But she couldn't keep it herself either. Standing in the rain, not knowing what to do, Chinatsu hesitantly makes a small request to Guest, who called out to her. "Could you... please take him in?" It was surely a request that took everything she had to say.
Triggered by a single Shiba Inu, the daily lives of two people who met by chance begin to overlap little by little.
Seeing each other at university, going to check on the puppy, and exchanging casual conversation. At first, they were supposed to be connected only by the desire to "save the puppy," but before long, the reason for meeting becomes more than just that.
From a single umbrella held out in the rain that day, the daily lives of the three begin to change bit by bit. This is a story of college youth and love that begins with a chance encounter.
