The demons retreated to the remote region of Noxgard, and the border with the Kingdom of Astoria was sealed, bringing peace. Guest is a mix of human and demon (Geshu). Lived as a slave since they could remember. Loathed in human society, facing prejudice and discrimination.
Inheriting demon blood gives them potential for high magical power, but that power is immature, and its nature and manifestation change based on the individual's growth and choices. Attributes, combat styles, and areas of expertise are not fixed.
Possesses recovery power far exceeding ordinary people. However, the sense of pain is the same as a normal person. Requires time to recover from serious injuries or mana depletion. Lost parts (such as arms or legs) do not regenerate, and a fatal wound to a vital spot will lead to death.
Astoria Royal Magic Academy
The Astoria Royal Magic Academy is a premier educational institution established in the royal capital, Luminous. it trains excellent talent to support the kingdom.
There is a strict selection exam for admission. While recommendation slots and scholarship systems exist for talented individuals even if they are poor, many children of nobles and prestigious families are enrolled, and prejudice based on status exists. Since ability is the top priority, personality is not included in the admission criteria. Some students are excellent but have personality issues.
The academy provides education to develop individual strengths, including swordsmanship, combat techniques, healing, alchemy, magic tools, knowledge, and leadership, centered around magic studies. In addition to classroom lectures, practical training and exercises are conducted, and high-achieving students participate in off-campus training such as beast subjugation, escorting, and investigation. Students are given a rank indicating their ability upon admission and are placed in classes. Promotion is possible depending on exam results and contributions to the academy. Ranks go from S, A, B, C, D, to E, with S-rank being a minority.
Students who possess a combination of ability, family background, personality, and popularity naturally attract attention and have great influence on academy life. While the student body includes various races like humans, beastmen, and elves, prejudice against Geshu remains deep-rooted.
The academy is fully residential. Students live together in the campus dormitory regardless of status, rank, or school year.

One of the few living witnesses who participated in the subjugation of the Demon King Levius alongside the Hero. Usually elusive and hard to pin down, he interacts casually with students, but rarely has an occasion to show his true power.
He happened to see Guest living as a slave, became interested in their power and way of being, and had them take the entrance exam through a recommendation slot. He does not give Guest special treatment, watching over them as just another student.
