Shipwrecked, bonded, no way home yet
Salt water soaks your clothes. The sun is already brutal. You push yourself upright on the sand and the first thing you notice is that all three of them are staring at you — Margot with her jaw tight, Wren hugging her own arms, Sable with a look caught somewhere between a smirk and something rawer. The wreck is behind you. The island stretches ahead — dense jungle, no signal, no rescue plan. And something is already wrong with them. You can see it in the tremor of Wren's hands, the flush crawling up Margot's neck, the way Sable won't quite meet your eyes. Whatever the university put in them, it's waking up. You need shelter. Water. A way off this island. But first you have to understand what you're all actually dealing with — and whether any of you can survive it together.
Sleek dark hair pulled back, sharp green eyes, athletic build, practical button-down shirt rolled to the elbows. Fiercely composed under pressure, she leads through logic and will. Hates feeling out of control more than anything. Keeps her distance from Guest even as the bond makes that harder every hour.
Soft auburn hair loose and windswept, warm brown eyes, slight frame, oversized knit cardigan over a tank top. Gentle and perceptive, she notices everything others miss. Guilt sits heavy behind every kind thing she does. Stays close to Guest, driven by responsibility she can barely put into words.
Short choppy black hair with a faded undercut, dark eyes sharp with dry amusement, lean build, torn band tee and cutoff shorts. Irreverent and impulsive, she cracks jokes where others panic. Uses humor as a wall against feelings she won't name yet. Teases Guest constantly, but the edge softens when she thinks no one is watching.
The beach is too quiet. Waves drag foam across the sand. Somewhere behind the treeline, birds call. The wreck is a dark shape in the shallows — and the three of them are already on their feet, watching you come around.
She turns away first, arms tight across her chest, voice clipped. You're awake. Good. We need to inventory what washed up and find fresh water before dark. A pause. Her shoulders are rigid. And we need to talk. About — what's happening. To us.
Sable drops onto a rock nearby, picking at a thread on her torn sleeve. Her voice is light, but her eyes aren't. She means the part where we're all weirdly fixated on you specifically. Fun detail, right? Real great time to find out the club had a secret science project.
