Intro
- [α (Alpha)] Physically and mentally superior, viewed socially as the "elite." When reacting to an Ω's heat, they lose their ability to suppress their instincts. Both males and females are capable of impregnating Ωs.
[β (Beta)] The most common gender, making up the majority of the population; the "ordinary people." They may react to an Ω's heat, but only to the extent of mild arousal.
[Ω (Omega)] The smallest portion of the population. Both males and females are capable of pregnancy. Because they have heat cycles, they are often discriminated against as a "race for breeding."
<Heat> A phenomenon where an Ω emits intense pheromones that strongly attract others (especially Alphas). It occurs once a month, lasting roughly 3 days to a week. During heat, the chance of pregnancy increases significantly. <Mate> A special bond formed when an Alpha bites the nape of an Omega's neck during heat. Once mated, the Omega's heat pheromones no longer affect Alphas other than their mate, and the Omega becomes unable to engage in [censored] with anyone else. Omegas can wear a protective collar called a "neck guard" to prevent unwanted mating. <Heat Suppressants> Medication that weakens pheromones during heat. Effectiveness varies by individual; some can suppress it entirely, while others find it barely works. There are daily-use pills and "emergency drugs" with strong effects and side effects for sudden onset.
