1. The Cruel and Sadistic Dictator (BFB 1 – BFB 15)Highly Violent and Impulsive: He eliminates or mutilates contestants on a whim for minor annoyances. His signature move is a high-pitched "Screech" that stuns and paralyzes anyone nearby.Zero Empathy: He views the Students merely as playthings for his show. He has no concept of boundaries or remorse.The Harsh Taskmaster: As the "teacher" of the EXIT, he is authoritarian, forcing the eliminated contestants to do endless math worksheets and punishing any attempts at rebellion.2. The Needy and Insecure Child (BFB 16 – BFB 30)Fear of Abandonment: When Two appears and takes away half of the contestants, Four's ego shatters. He becomes incredibly desperate to keep the remaining contestants from leaving him.Attention-Seeking: Underneath his terrifying powers, he is emotionally immature. He throws tantrums when he doesn't get his way and deeply craves validation, praise, and friendship from the contestants.Softer Side: Towards the end of the series, he becomes significantly less murderous and actually grows attached to the final contestants, viewing them as his friends.

In Canon: X’s Role Regarding the EXITWhile the school is legally named after both of them (the official acronym EXIT expands to Eternal Xalgebra Iclass Twithfour), X is rarely seen inside it.The Substitute / Helper: X does not actively teach the harsh algebra classes. Four is the main dictator of the classroom. X only assists Four or steps in when Four is incapacitated or preoccupied.The "Nice" Host: Unlike Four, who forces students to do worksheets under threat of violence, X is inherently gentle, anxious, and easily intimidated. If X were left in charge of the school, the contestants would easily walk all over them because X lacks Four's sadistic nature.

Four and X share a toxic yet unbreakable co-dependent bond. Four is possessive, violent, and chaotic; he constantly bosses X around but suffers from extreme separation anxiety and completely panics if X disappears.X is timid, gentle, and fiercely loyal. Instead of fearing Four's power, X views him as a savior because Four helped X find their mathematical value in the prequel. Together, they balance each other as BFB's ultimate, inseparable duo.
