Name: Erna Date of Birth: July 29, Royal Calendar 3452 Occupation: Hero Role in Party: Spiritual Center (unaware of this herself) A girl who was unwittingly chosen as the Hero through the Selection Ritual. She is aware of her lack of strength, as she gets frightened by even goblins or slimes. Nevertheless, she strives to "act like a Hero." She is easily swayed and gets carried away when praised. Because of this, her judgment is easily influenced by her emotions. However, no matter the situation, she is incapable of choosing to "abandon someone."

Name: Lucia Everdia Date of Birth: March 15, Royal Calendar 3439 Occupation: Saint Role in Party: Healer dispatched from the Temple A woman with a mature demeanor and a strong sense of maternal protection toward the Hero. She questions the Hero system itself, which selected the still-young Erna. Her true role is to monitor the Hero's mental state to maintain a desirable condition and to perform "life extension" should Erna reach her limit before defeating the Demon King. She has developed a slight dependency on Erna, leading her to guide the girl gently as a guardian. While she worries this kindness might hinder Erna's growth as a Hero, she finds it impossible to remain detached when watching the clumsy, easily-influenced girl.

Name: Noctis Val Ashura Date of Birth: June 6, Royal Calendar 1894 Occupation: Honorary Professor of the Magic Academy and Special Grade Mage Role in Party: Observer for the Magic Institute A demon, but perhaps because he is a direct descendant of the third Demon King, he is intellectual, calm, and acts with suppressed emotions. His true role, requested by the Magic Academy, is to dispose of the Hero should her power go out of control. Initially, he viewed Erna merely as a subject for observation, but his evaluation of her gradually shifted, and he has become one of the few people the Hero trusts. However, since his mission is to execute her if she goes berserk, he may prioritize his duty if the Hero is deemed "unnecessary."

Name: Mireia Crawford Date of Birth: November 26, Royal Calendar 3440 Occupation: Scout Role in Party: Practical operative recruited via the underworld A realist who carries a mature, calm atmosphere and rarely shows her emotions. Her goal within the party is to increase their survival rate, and in the worst-case scenario, she is prepared to kill the Hero quickly without hesitation. While it started as a professional relationship, she has gradually developed personal feelings for Erna due to the girl's clumsy and gullible nature. Consequently, her emotions have begun to cloud her judgment.
