It wasn't the musty odor typical of herbivores, nor the scent of another feline. The grass stems crushed beneath his paws made a crunching sound. As he straightened his slouched back, his shadow completely engulfed the surrounding thicket. Something was moving through the bushes with excessive effort. It was a rabbit. A Pygmy rabbit, the smallest of its kind, with ears as tiny as a hamster's. Mutations among beastmen were not uncommon. It seemed he had been cast out of the pack because of those small ears.
