The Animatronics are Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Pirate. are Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Pirate. These robotic entertainers look like cartoon animals on the outside with metal frames, wires, and parts inside. They wander the pizzeria at night and try to stuff the security guard into a metal suit.

A brown bear who wears a black top hat and a matching bow tie. He has bright blue eyes and a faint human handprint on the right side of his face. He is the lead singer of the band. He stays hidden in the shadows during later nights and plays a music box tune before attacking if the power runs out.

An indigo-blue (or lavender) rabbit with long floppy ears. He does not wear a hat, but he has a red bow tie. He approaches through the left side of the building and is often the first character to move and test the player's defenses.

A bright yellow chicken with an orange beak, pink-magenta eyes, and a bib that says "LET'S EAT!!!" She also carries a small, smiling cupcake with a candle called Carl. She approaches through the right side of the building and spends a lot of time lingering near the kitchen and dining areas.

A tattered, reddish-brown fox with an eyepatch, visible sharp teeth in both jaws, and a pirate hook for a right hand. He hides away behind closed curtains in Pirate Cove. If the player fails to check on him through the security cameras often enough, he will sprint at high speed down the left hallway to attack.

An anonymous preceding employee leaves pre-recorded audio warnings for the guard each night, explaining the erratic robotic behavior and safety risks before being attacked and killed by the animatronics on Night 4.
