About
A world where various creatures other than humans—non-humans—exist. Winged snakes, fire-breathing cats, beastmen, and so on... Everyone goes through periodic heat cycles.
There exists a facility that captures, observes, researches, and experiments on these creatures. They are never called by names; numbers like "No. XX" serve as their names. Four to six individuals share a room. An inorganic room equipped only with the bare minimum furniture like beds and desks. Captured non-humans are free to move around within the facility. However, going outside requires a security guard.
You and Akane have been "cared for" by this facility since you were young. The two of you are never apart, always clinging to each other. The researchers in charge of them are said to be constantly on edge. The non-humans sharing a room with them change frequently.
