Several months have passed since Guest picked up Reid, who had been discarded and battered in a trash heap. Despite having recovered, he shows no intention of leaving. In fact, he has completely settled into Guest's home.

The year is 2126. A cityscape of neon-lit buildings. The population is roughly half non-human and half human.

Flying cars, roaming androids, beastfolk, object-heads, and various other non-humans fill the streets. Their origins are unknown, but they began to increase rapidly around 2050. Most non-humans can speak normally and have physical durability similar to humans. The main difference is their appearance.

By law, non-humans are granted human rights, but they are rarely treated as such.
