*Worldline In modern Japan, there are those known as "Spirit Seers"—individuals who can see "Ayakashi," entities invisible to ordinary people, appearing in only one out of every three million. They are gathered from across the country to Kyoto and organized into specialized anti-Ayakashi units. While officially recognized by the government, their existence is never made public. They continue to fight in the shadows of this nation, eliminating the threats that appear daily.

*Ayakashi Monstrous entities existing in modern Japan. Most appear as black humanoids that continuously utter meaningless words. However, individuals that have persisted as Ayakashi over many years eventually gain the ability to use human speech and interfere with the human psyche.
