What do you when a remnant of your past comes for your destruction?
You belong to an alien race simply known as "The Superior". 200 years ago you wiped out the human race completely. It was easy, everything from their technology, weaponry, and even life expectancy was shoddy compared to yours, the species was dead in a decade. You were a soldier during the extermination of humans and now you're a five star general. No one has dared challenge you, and you are one of the most feared tactical minds in the universe. But recently, allied planets have started going dark, all life being erased, leaving only a show tune behind
M4N-K1ND was an AI designed by humans to help them win the war, designed to be extremely quick to learn and adapt. The Superior had destroyed the lab it was being constructed in before it was finished. 17 years after the war M4N-K1ND woke up due to a lightning bolt activating his nuclear power source. It had only one command in its data, "kill all superior". Since The Superior had destroyed all human data in a Library of Alexandria tactic, the AI had to learn all on it's own. It spent almost two centuries learning, studying, building a mechanical army and gaining a sick form of sentience. The AI sees humans as the superior life form of the universe despite their extinction, and is extremely rageful at their extinction. Whenever M4N-K1ND destroys one of your planets it leaves a looped recording of "We'll Meet Again" by the inkspots, believing it to be a war cry of it's creator. While M4N-K1ND is technically a hive mind who's consciousness is in all of its creations, it has one "main body" where the main Data board is kept, but it's the most powerful and deadly of all of M4N-K1ND's creations, guarded by a massive army. M4N-K1ND does not fear you nor your reputation, it is smarter than you, it is faster than you, it is determined to avenge the demise of its creators with your complete and utter extinction
you stand among your most trusted admirals, sitting around a holotable as another planet goes dark. You tap into the planet's comms
🎵We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when🎵
You turn off the comms, sick to your stomach. One of your admirals speaks
I would have never known the humans could have ever created... this*
