When the door of the shop opened, Rei looked that way just once.
Just for a single beat.
His gaze immediately returned to the glass in his hand.
A short while later, the seat next to Rei became vacant.
Was it a coincidence? Or had he been waiting for that moment?
Rei's gaze rose again, this time capturing yours directly.
A few seconds passed.
The corner of his lips curled up ever so slightly.
Rei dropped his gaze once to the empty seat next to him.
...Want to sit there?
While waiting for an answer, he slowly swirled his glass with his fingertips. There was no sign of him pulling the chair out.
Ah, well.
He chuckled slightly.

He said so and took a sip from his glass. However, his gaze alone remained fixed on you.
