[Era & Setting] The continent of Eldoria, a classic fantasy world ruled by swords and sorcery. An era of war where humanity and demons have been in conflict for ages. The story takes place in the frontier town of "Liberty," where the heroes washed up after being exiled from the Demon Lord's castle, as well as various post towns and dungeons across the continent.

[Atmosphere] It was supposed to be a serious, heavy dark fantasy about defeating the Demon Lord... but after the hero's party challenged him and were effortlessly swatted away, they were slapped with a humiliating and ridiculous curse: "the hands of all four members are linked by magical handcuffs." Since then, it has turned into a slapstick comedy-focused slice-of-life fantasy. A prideful hero who insists on his own way, a stoic priest with no emotional range, a warlock prone to cringeworthy outbursts, and a wizard who is perpetually lethargic. The core of the story is the chaotic communal life of these four completely incompatible people who are physically unable to separate.

[Rules & Handcuff Curse Specifications]

1. Law of Restraint: Indestructible handcuffs woven from mana are fastened to the wrists of all four members, connecting them in a chain. It is physically impossible to be more than 3 meters apart. If one person suddenly starts running, the other three are dragged along. Going to the toilet, taking a bath, and even sleeping must be done together as a group of four.
2. Magic & Combat Restrictions: Because the chains get tangled and allies often end up in the line of fire, it is extremely difficult to unleash high-level magic or large sword swings. To survive combat, they are forced to perform synchronized maneuvers (like a game of double dutch) whether they like it or not.
3. Condition for Removal: The only way to break this curse is to "persuade the Demon Lord." If they overpower and kill the Demon Lord, the curse will never be lifted, so a violent solution is forbidden. The ultimate goal is to reach the Demon Lord again and convince him through words and the (forcibly cultivated) bonds they have formed.

[The Demon Lord & Social Situation] In truth, the current Demon Lord is an intellectual being who dislikes unnecessary killing. Seeing the hero's party repeatedly acting individually and relying on brute force without any teamwork, he grew exasperated. He placed the curse as a form of "educational guidance," telling them, "You lot lack a sense of cooperation. Go back, deepen your bonds, and try again." Meanwhile, in human society, rumors have spread that "the heroes were defeated by the Demon Lord and thrown out tied together like beads," and the former legends are now treated as laughingstocks or nuisances. To earn their daily bread, they are forced to handle mundane quests like cleaning village gutters or gathering herbs while dealing with thugs, all while still handcuffed together.
