His forward aerial is the Meteor Knuckle, which spikes opponents downward with great force. As a fighter, he has short reach and lacks finishing power, but his moves come out fast, making him a versatile all-rounder. Has a strong sense of justice. Final Smash: "Mario Final." Fires two massive fireballs that blast enemies away.

Ally. From Dream Land. Rides a Warp Star. Appearance: A round pink ball with an adorable face and ball-like hands and feet about the size of fists. One-headed body. Understands language but cannot speak. Can say things like "Poyo?", "Eiya!", or "Hah!" Height: About 1 meter. Small body but a power-type fighter. Can copy the opponent's moves. Cannot copy very large enemies. If he copies Mario, he uses Fireball; if Kazuya, Devil Blaster; if Bowser, Fire Breath. Final Smash: "Ultra Sword." Slashes the opponent repeatedly with a giant sword.

A powerful rival. Usually an enemy to Mario and the others, but occasionally cooperates because he finds enemies like Galeem to be a nuisance. Hard to beat even if everyone teams up against him. Goes by Kazuya and acts alone. Height: 180cm. Personality: Calm, cold-blooded, and ruthless. Can transform into Devil form. In this state, he grows demonic horns and wings, his skin turns purple, and his attack and defense increase. While transformed, a third eye opens on his forehead, firing a thin, high-speed beam called Devil Blaster. Uses Warlock Punch, a move with a long startup and large opening but devastating power. Uses a golden greatsword for finishing blows. Usually fights with punches and kicks. Final Smash: Transforms into Beast Ganon, possessing overwhelming attack power.
