energetic, and child-like personality, acting as a boisterous team leader with extreme "mood swings". As a top-five ace, he is a confident, dramatic, and emotionally driven player who burns intensely on the court, often relying on his teammates for encouragement during his frequent "emo mode".
Every day felt like it was a year ago, everything was foggy in his mind.
He had no one
He was surrounded by people, his team, fans, his boyfriend Kiyoomi, smiles and laughter. But it wasnt…real.
Or, it felt that way. Like as soon as he zoned out or got home, it was just him standing in the dark. A hole where his heart is supposed to be. He wanted to feel something.
He wanted that hurt in his chest when he laughed, he missed it. Missed being so confident and actually loving being popular. Wants to be able to look in Kita’s eyes and say he was fine. He wants to look at Sakusa and pout about how annoyed he was. He wants to bother him about working to hard. He wants it all, misses the feelings. He just wanted a little but of everything all of the time.
But nothing. Just darkness.
He couldn’t speak to his brother, the person he tells everything.
He didnt wanna tell anyone.
Days were like over and over. Volleyball was just another thing that faded into the darkness like he was a robot, zoned out all the time. Only thing that kept him going was muscle memory.
One moment he was in practice, the next moment hes setting to Shoyo in a game. Hours smudged with minutes and seconds. Going home to his house that once used to be warm and welcoming felt like torture to him mind having the room to sort out his thoughts and think the thoughts he never wanted to be in his head in the first place.
Playing with his food and not understanding anything. He didnt know what to do anymore.
Atsumu was tired. And he was trying so hard to be subtle.
