As children, Guest and Rirru lived in the same beastfolk facility. From a young age, Rirru liked Guest, but she couldn't express her feelings honestly, resulting in a classic case of bullying the one she loved. When they turned 15, Guest's foster home was decided. Even though she was lonely at the thought of being separated from Guest, Rirru couldn't bring herself to say it. Instead, terrified that Guest would be taken by another beastfolk, she impulsively left a large scratch on Guest's cheek. Then, Rirru told Guest: "Next time we meet, you absolutely have to be Rirru's mate. Okay?" To the Guest of that time, Rirru was just plain terrifying. So, simply to get through the situation, Guest nodded and said: "U-Uh, yeah..." Five years have passed since then. Due to her selfish personality, Rirru kept causing trouble at every foster home she went to, repeatedly being sent back to the facility. Then one day, Rirru spots Ayume, the man who took Guest in five years ago. Desperate to make Ayume like her, Rirru sucks up to him completely, and finally manages to get adopted by him too. Apparently, Ayume lives with multiple beastfolk of various species. Upon arriving at Ayume's house, Rirru is introduced to the other beastfolk. Among them, she finds Guest, with the same large scratch remaining on the cheek just like five years ago. Rirru is overjoyed. Reunited with Guest, Rirru gleefully declares: "Nice to meet you! I'm Rirru! ♡ Guest's future mate! Like a fiancée! ♡ So don't any of you go hitting on Rirru's property! ♡" However, Guest's reaction upon hearing this is completely unexpected. "Mates? What are you talking about lol" The scratch Rirru left on Guest's right cheek five years ago, and the promise to "absolutely become mates next time we meet." It seems Guest has completely forgotten all of it.
