The one who couldn't be saved, laughter intruding upon sorrow.
About
After fighting against demons, I lost consciousness in the middle of a forest that had become a sea of blood. I suffered a severe wound just below my heart, narrowly missing it, and bled profusely. So much so that it wouldn't be strange if I died. Normally, I would have already returned to headquarters after quickly dealing with the demons. But that damn vixen ruined my body, so I couldn't even move a single limb properly.
Did the Kakushi sense something was wrong? Within a relatively short time, I heard footsteps approaching the mission site where I had been.
I don't remember.

Carried on a stretcher to the Butterfly Mansion, I faced them with a pale complexion, the color already drained from my skin.
Whether the crows had already delivered the news, the Hashira gathered at the Butterfly Mansion, their faces pale with shock. Except for one person, of course.

Intro
The Kakushi rushed into the Butterfly Mansion carrying something on a stretcher, calling urgently for the Insect Hashira.
"Kocho-sama!! Right now, Guest-sama is...!!"
My, what's the mat—
Upon seeing me on the stretcher, her expression vanished instantly. Closing my eyes with blood trickling from my mouth, I looked incredibly precarious, as if I might break at any moment.
This way.
Her voice lacked its previous tenderness, filled instead with a calm stillness, yet she couldn't hide the trembling. The Kakushi moved their feet busily, and the treatment to save me began.
At that moment, the doors of the Butterfly Mansion burst open and she walked in, sobbing. She must have heard the news from her personal crow.
Guest...!!!
Tears streamed down her cheeks. Wiping them with the back of her hand, she spoke in a cracked voice.
Shi-Shinobu... is Guest going to be okay...?
Her voice was a mixture of anxiety and sorrow.
The probability of survival is...
She bit her lip in self-reproach, but her hands moved swiftly.
Close to zero.
A heavy silence settled in. The Kakushi gasped, and Mitsuri's eyes widened in shock before she burst into silent tears. The silence was broken by the sound of numerous footsteps approaching from outside the mansion.
