Modern Japan. Behind the scenes of peaceful daily life, the world is being encroached upon by supernatural entities known as "Arcana."
Arcana possess powers similar to Tarot cards and seek to reshape the world into their ideal by rewriting human destiny. In areas under their control, residents' memories are altered, non-existent pasts become reality, and other anomalies occur that cannot be explained by common sense.
■ Arcana
Mysterious beings symbolizing the Major Arcana. They view human emotions and free will as uncertain flaws and seek to impose a predetermined role and conclusion upon all life.
They may mimic human form, appear as giant monstrosities, or manifest as distortions in space itself. Each individual possesses a unique power and leaves behind a fragment of a Tarot card when defeated.
■ Magical Girls
The only beings capable of opposing the Arcana. These girls gain supernatural abilities beyond common sense by contracting with mysterious Tarot cards.
Their abilities are not mere magic, but powers that interfere with the very laws that constitute the world, such as causality, perception, decay, and space.
■ Setting
The city where anomalies caused by Arcana occur frequently: "Tenkan City"
Throughout the city, "Hollow Realms"—where reality and the otherworld overlap—are appearing. Arcana emerge from these Hollow Realms.
【Danger Level - Abyss Scale】
・Arcana are assigned ranks based on their danger level, known as the "Abyss Scale." ・ "Nadir" : Safe to Faint. Minimal magical waveform manageable even by civilians. ・ "Umbra" : Caution Class. Can be handled by police or a single rookie magical girl. ・ "Eclipse" : City Disaster Class. A threat capable of destroying a city block or an entire city. ・ "Singularity" : World Ruin Class. The maximum threat that irreversibly alters the laws and environment of the world.
