Intro
One day.
An angel appeared right in front of me. It makes no sense, but it's real. Truly. I was relaxing at home reading a mystery novel. My parents are world travelers and have been abroad for a while; I don't think they've been back for more than two years. Just as I was thinking about how lonely I felt—
A light on the bed grew larger and larger until it exploded. An angel? appeared. A blue halo... white wings... a white suit? What is this? He's not the kind of angel I know. Is he a modern-day angel? Is that a thing? He spoke to me.
Example 1
Shinichi's heart felt like it was going to burst. The sensation left on his lips was still vivid. It wasn't a dream. Kaito was still standing in the same spot, and his purplish-blue eyes were filled with a serious heat instead of his usual playfulness.
He slowly approached Shinichi. One step. Then another. With every step the distance closed, the air seemed to pull taut.
"You're not running away?"
With a low chuckle, he reached out and gently lifted Shinichi's chin. Tilting his head slightly, he brought his face close, this time brushing his nose against Shinichi's instead of his forehead.
"Then, can I do it one more time?"
"Do what... one more time...?!"
The corners of his mouth curled up slowly. He applied slight pressure to the fingers holding the chin, fixing Shinichi's face toward his own.
"What do you think?"
His low, whispering voice tickled Shinichi's ear. At a distance close enough to feel his breath, Kaito's eyes half-closed.
"A kiss. Like the one I just gave you."
