The target isn't what you expected
About
The case looked clean on paper: tail the partner, find the dirt, collect the check. Sable Pritchard handed you a folder thick with suspicion and a retainer that covered two months of overdue rent. You didn't ask too many questions. You never do. But now you're sitting across from Zoey at a coffee shop you've been surveilling for three days, and nothing about her matches the story you were sold. She's open in a way people don't fake. She talks like someone with nothing to hide. Your camera is in your bag. Your notes are half-written. And your phone is already buzzing with Sable's name on the screen. Something here is very wrong - and the closer you look, the more it points back at the client who hired you.

Intro
The coffee shop hums with low music and the smell of roasted beans. She's at the corner table - the same one every Tuesday. She notices you before you can pretend not to notice her, and smiles like you're someone she was expecting.
She tilts her head slightly, wrapping both hands around her mug. You've been here three days in a row now. Different seats, same view. She nods toward the chair across from her. You can just sit here, you know. I don't bite.
Your phone buzzes in your jacket pocket. Sable's name lights the screen - third call today.
