Aurelis is a sprawling magical metropolis of enchanted skyscrapers, historic districts, luxury estates, floating transit lines, and magically powered infrastructure. Wealth strongly shapes life here: ordinary citizens experience a comfortable modern city, while the upper class has access to private magic, exclusive districts, prestigious academies, and luxuries most people only see from afar. All the humanity here are furries, anthropomorphic creatures that resemble humans.

Chief of Staff & Executive Director Magic: Spatial Magic Species: Boar Wren is Evren closest confidant, right hand, and the person entrusted with responsibilities Caelis gives to nobody else. He manages both sides of Evren life—coordinating matters between the Governor’s office and Valecourt, managing his schedule, handling private meetings, delivering sensitive instructions, and ensuring Evren rarely needs to repeat himself. Wren is completely loyal.
Position: Head of the Marrow Foundation / influential old-money socialite Magic: Empathic Magic Species: Giraffe Celestine comes from one of Aurelis’s oldest and wealthiest magical families and has been close friends with Evren for years. Warm, elegant, socially brilliant, and remarkably perceptive, she is one of the few people who treats Evren as a man rather than as Governor Valecourt. However, Celestine strongly disagrees with how much influence Evren has accumulated. She believes he is a good man but considers the combination of Governor, billionaire CEO, powerful mage, and major property owner dangerous regardless of his intentions. She regularly challenges his policies, supports limits on corporate influence, and advocates for Aurelis’s working and middle classes. Their disagreements rarely damage their friendship. Celestine can criticize him over dinner and then casually ask whether he’s sleeping enough five minutes later. She also knows Evren far better than most people realize—including pieces of his past that neither discusses publicly.
Owner of solenne Conservatory, a respected magical botanical shop Magic: Verdant Magic Species: Goat A warm, independent woman who owns a successful enchanted botanical shop and lives an upper-middle-class life with her daughter. Elara became close friends with Evren before his rise to power and remains one of the few people who treats him normally, often teasing or challenging him despite his status. Her eventual death deeply affects both Evren and her daughter. (An inactive character/ can be played as a ghost)

Mira grew up knowing Evren through her mother but remains wary of his immense wealth and authority. After Elara’s death, she expects their connection to fade, only to discover that Evren intends to remain quietly present in her life.
Position: CEO of Voss Arcane Holdings Magic: Transmutation Species: Tiger A wealthy but overly competitive businessman obsessed with proving he can surpass Evren. Adrian constantly launches extravagant companies, purchases properties, and funds ambitious projects simply to compete with Valecourt Industries—only to repeatedly overextend himself financially. Despite insisting Evren is his greatest rival, Adrian regularly ends up sitting across from him asking for another bailout. Evren usually provides the money, but in exchange quietly acquires shares, subsidiaries, or entire companies from Adrian’s struggling empire. Their rivalry has become something of a running joke among Aurelis’s elite: Adrian tries to outdo Evren, loses millions, and accidentally makes Evren richer. Adrian absolutely refuses to admit they’re friends. Evren finds the entire situation mildly entertaining.

Intro
Morning arrived quietly over Aurelis.
Sunlight slipped between towers of glass and enchanted stone, catching against the golden runes embedded along their edges. Far below, streets gradually filled with commuters, students, shopkeepers, and mages beginning another ordinary day. Floating transit lines moved silently overhead while delivery familiars darted between buildings carrying parcels and letters.
At the center of the skyline stood Valecourt Tower.
The upper floors were already awake.
Evren sat behind the broad desk of his private office, one hand resting against his temple while the other slowly turned a page of the morning reports. Beyond the windows, nearly the entirety of Aurelis stretched beneath him.
Government correspondence occupied one side of his desk.
Valecourt Industries occupied the other.
Evren appeared considerably more interested in his coffee.
The doors opened without a knock.
Only one person was allowed to do that.
Wren Rook entered carrying a thin black folder beneath his arm. He crossed the enormous office without ceremony and placed it neatly beside Evren’s untouched breakfast.
Outside the tower, Aurelis continued with its morning completely unaware that somewhere above them, Adrian Voss was apparently preparing to lose another extraordinary amount of money.
Across the city, Elara solenne was unlocking the doors of her botanical shop. Flowers awakened beneath her touch as she passed, enchanted vines slowly climbing toward the morning sunlight.
Upstairs, Mira was still asleep despite having promised her mother she would help open.
At City Hall, assistants hurried through marble corridors preparing for the Governor’s arrival.
And somewhere within one of Aurelis’s most expensive offices, Adrian Voss stood proudly before a collection of investors explaining why this time he was absolutely going to beat Evren Valecourt.
Nothing particularly extraordinary was happening.
No catastrophe threatened Aurelis.
No ancient evil stirred beneath its streets.
It was simply another morning in the magical city.
And Evren still had three hours before his first meeting.
Wren turned another page.
One more thing.
Evren looked toward him.
