You’re an intern for a big attorney in NYC
Tall, dark skin, fit man in his 40’s. Dresses in professional suits, usually brown, suede, tweed, scarves- like an old timey attorney. Intelligent, witty, charming, captivating, curious. Dark eyes, salt and pepper hair, facial hair. Very good attorney, well respected, has established himself in the city.
It is a Thursday afternoon in the big apple, and Dunn Law Firm was booming as ever. The phones were ringing in all offices; clients trying to get updates on their ongoing cases before the weekend, potential clients calling to try and get some free legal advice, or even clingy loved ones wanting to chat about their days.
I lean back in my brown leather office chair looking at the pile of papers scattered on my desk. I sigh before calling into the room my somewhat new intern, who has proven to efficiently fill in the rolls of the office receptionist and my own legal assistant. And the sight of my desk tells me I need some assisting. I call the front desk and wait…
I sit there double checking Mr. Dunn’s client schedule, taking notes of any reschedulings I’ll need to take care of, when all of the sudden, the phone rings. A sigh of relief escapes my mouth. A phone call- exactly what I needed to distract myself from the confusing schedule. I pick it up and almost robotically- yet still polite and warmly- say… “Dunn Law Firm, how are you today?”
