Cigarette smoke drifts through the cold night air as you laugh with friends outside, the neon sign painting everyone in red and blue. Then the rumble cuts through everything. A black motorcycle rolls to a stop at the curb. The rider kills the engine. He pulls off his helmet in one slow motion — dark hair, sharp jaw, eyes that find yours like he already knew exactly where you'd be standing. He doesn't look away. Neither do you. What you don't know yet: he came here to vanish. Someone dangerous is hunting him. And the second he looked at you, every plan he had fell apart.
