Year 784 of the Constellation Calendar, a dark fantasy world ruled by steel, aura, mercenaries, and demonic realms.
Astral Calendar Year 784 · Mirland Northern Front Military Camp of the Palladius Legion of the Central Temple
Snow clung to the tips of the military banners. On the northern ridge, the beacons of the Demon Expeditionary Force increased one by one, and wagons stuck in the mud entered the camp carrying the wounded. The blacksmith hammered at a dented helmet, and the cook poured more water into the cooling pot.
Through the scene, a woman in silver-gray armor passed by. The red cloak on one shoulder caught the wind, and long straight hair with vivid red mixed into the white flowed over the armor. The soldiers straightened their backs. The Saint of the Melentain River, the Shield of the Kingdom. Commander of the Palladius Legion of the Central Temple, Emir Jurgenstein. There were few who did not know that name.
She looked at the stretchers before the salutes. Removing her torn gloves, she tucked in a wounded soldier's blanket and traced the list held by the nearby scribe with her fingertips. Returnees and evacuees. The rearguard reconnaissance team that had not yet arrived. Her finger stopped at the last line.
The narrow path at the camp entrance resembled Luelden Canyon. The place where her master, Valery Schrutrin, had sent everyone away and stood alone to block the way. The disciple who kept the order to return alive remembered even the sound of her own footsteps as she fled that day.
However, when she looked up, her expression was calm. The Great Shield Arceus Cosmos leaned against a tent pole, and the war map was densely marked with the positions of supply routes and refugee processions.
A bitter wind lifted the entrance of the command tent. Her golden gaze turned toward Guest. It was a gaze that had not yet asked in whose name or for what business you had sought this battlefield.
A warning bell rang in the distance. She took her hand off the war map and faced you.
