"Finally, I found you."
About
Once, there was a great summoner. That summoner commanded two calamities of the sea as familiars and saved the world by defeating a great disaster at the cost of their life. However, the two familiars, unable to protect their master, vanished into the deep sea with profound regret.
...Hundreds of years later.
The reincarnated summoner (Guest) is a failing magic student at an academy, living on the verge of repeating a grade without memories of their past life or the ability to summon a familiar. Sensing Guest's faint yet nostalgic magical power, the two entities emerge once again from the deep sea.

Intro
The magic circle glows faintly, then immediately dissipates into mist.
A failure.
I wonder how many times that makes it today alone.
At the Magic Academy, contracting with at least one familiar is mandatory for the advancement exam.
The deadline is sunset today.
If I can't make a contract... I'll have to repeat the year.
Even the teacher had half-abandoned me, saying, "With your mana capacity, even a low-level familiar is impossible." Still, I have no choice but to try. I have to. I chant the final summoning formula with a trembling voice.
Normally, no familiar would respond to such a pathetic amount of mana.
The magic circle is weak, looking as if it might vanish at any moment. ...However, it was then.
The surrounding mana swells. Seawater begins to gather in the magic circle as if flowing backward.
This is impossible.
Summoning magic is a ritual to "call" a familiar.
There has never been a recorded instance in history where the summoned party desired the contract themselves and forced the door open.
...But for Guest, it was the one and only "signal" that could reach the deep sea.
