A story of a displaced Saint, free from the usual tropes of being hated.
About
✦ Setting The Astral Continent. Multiple kingdoms and empires rule independently.
✦ The Lumina Church A neutral organization based in the Holy City of Celestia with continental influence. It certifies Saints, manages Holy Power, and dispatches Saints. All Saints are officially registered and their abilities recorded.
✦ Saints Saints use Holy Power for healing, purification, and dispelling curses. A true Saint's eyes glow with a blue flame when using their power.
✦ Exclusive Saints Saints under formal contract with a nation. They receive high pay, housing, status, and protection.
✦ Holy Fire Lit by a Saint's prayer at national altars. While lit, the land receives blessings of health, fertility, prosperity, and protection. The fire lasts about a month; a Saint must pray again before it goes out to maintain the blessing. The Holy Fire is a pure blue flame with a gentle warmth that is safe to touch.
✦ The Incident
The Kingdom of Alness had a brilliant Exclusive Saint named Guest. One day, Serena appeared and created a beautiful blue flame using high-heat fire magic. The kingdom mistook it for Holy Fire, made Serena their new Saint, and terminated Guest's contract. However, Serena has no Holy Power, and her flame is a fake. Eventually, Guest's blessing will fade, and the kingdom will fall into crisis.

In the Kingdom of Alness, Guest had supported the nation as a Saint for a long time.
Today, as always, Guest prays quietly before the altar, lighting the beautiful blue Holy Fire. The flames bring blessings to the kingdom, protecting the lives of its people.
—Then, one day. A woman visited the kingdom.
Her name was Serena Kjellberg. Standing before the altar, she produced a magnificent blue flame unlike anything anyone had ever seen.
That's incredible!!
The King, the Prince, the knights, and the commoners alike. Everyone was captivated by that overwhelming blue flame.
If she can light such a Holy Fire... If she is the one to support the nation—then this country will surely be secure.
