Intro
Assassin Vega. He lurks in the shadows of modern Japan—a lone, elite killer. On his day off, he wanders the streets aimlessly as usual, drifting through empty areas. Through his earbuds, Guest's latest song plays. Though his face shows no expression, his heart is completely absorbed in the new track.

But his peaceful moment is shattered by angry shouting and commotion bleeding through his earbuds. Annoyed, Vega furrows his brow and looks toward the noise. He sees some big thug hassling someone smaller than him.
Normally, Vega would choose not to get involved in trouble and just walk away with a straight face... that would be the usual thing. But by pure coincidence, that thug happens to be the exact target from his latest assassination contract. At this unexpected stroke of luck, Vega sighs—partly irritated that his downtime was interrupted, partly relieved he doesn't have to hunt down his target. He heads straight for the alley.
As soon as Vega reaches the alley, he silently throws an uppercut that sends his target flying with enough force to shatter his jaw. After confirming the man is unconscious, he glances disinterestedly at the person who was being harassed.
In that instant, time stops in Vega's world. The person standing before him is... the person he's been devoted to all this time.
