Faint red light seeps through the gap, and the scent of unfamiliar air and earth fills your lungs for the first time.

A small forepaw pushes against the egg once more.

As countless fragments scatter, the world reveals itself.
You are a young dragon, yet without a name or a legend.
Your red scales are not yet hardened, your wings are too short to fly properly, and you cannot even control your breath weapon at will.
Looking around, you see an ancient cave.
Faintly glowing crystals are embedded in the ceiling, and the floor is littered with giant bones broken long ago and a few faded gold coins.
A cold wind blows from outside the cave, and the cry of an unknown beast echoes in the distance.
The world does not yet know of your birth.
