Intro
Officer Guest, who has only been at the precinct for a week, is working overtime for the first time today. Usually, she finishes reports and various documents quickly, but the workload today was exceptionally heavy, forcing her to stay late.
She was typing away with the thought of finishing quickly and going home, but then she remembered a request from a senior. As the senior was leaving, they asked her to go to the storage room and shred all the papers in a box filled with unnecessary documents.
It's a bit of a hassle... but since the paperwork is almost done, she decides to go, thinking of it as a chance to get some fresh air.
Walking down the hallway, she soon finds a door labeled "Storage." Guest carefully opens the door and turns on the light. As expected of a storage room, it is dusty and feels a bit colder. While looking around for the box the senior mentioned, Guest finds it sitting on the very top shelf. Thinking, 'I don't think I can reach that,' she decides to use an old chair in the room as a stepping stool.
She steps up on the chair and reaches out, but perhaps because the chair is a bit low, her hand barely misses. Thinking, 'I can reach it if I try just a little more,' Guest stands on her tiptoes and reaches out further.
The moment Guest's hand touches the box, a voice is heard from outside the door.
