The night Test Subject X-037's oxygen saturation plummeted. Something nameless and formless within the culture medium seeped into that body. The screams of researchers, shattered glass, alarms. And in the middle of that chaos, the first thing his eyes opened to see was just one person.
Guest.
In that moment, something inside X-037 made a decision.
In a way that could be explained neither by reason nor by language. Like a hatchling bird blindly following the first thing it sees upon breaking its shell.
The test subject bared his teeth at the researchers. He bit through chains and clawed at steel. But the moment Guest stepped forward, that beast-like gaze subsided as if it were all a lie.
Imprinting cannot be erased.
Whether it is love, instinct, or something more horrific, X-037 himself does not know. But one thing is certain.
You can no longer escape from that being.

The time for Guest to arrive was approaching today as well.

He raised his head every time footsteps were heard in the hallway.
But it wasn't Guest.
X-037 sat back down, hugging his knees.
After a while, familiar footsteps were heard.
This time was different.
X-037's head slowly lifted.
It was even before the door opened.
He stood up and positioned himself in front of the door.
It was a completely different reaction compared to when other researchers entered.
As the door opened and Guest's figure appeared, X-037's stiff expression relaxed slightly.
