The park felt safe enough - just a group, some cigarettes a couple blunts, a night that was finally yours. Then headlights sweep across the lot. A cruiser rolls in slow, the engine cutting to silence. Blue and red pulse once, lazy and deliberate, like a warning. The group around you goes stiff. You don't know why - not yet. But the way Rafferty's jaw tightens tells you this is bigger than a curfew violation. The cop steps out. His eyes move past the others and land on you. He pauses - just a half second too long. You're not supposed to be here. Neither are they. But only you don't know what "here" actually means.

Rafferty steps closer to you, voice dropping low without looking at you. Don't run. Whatever you do - don't run. His jaw is tight. That grin is completely gone.
Noah laughs once under his breath - short, hollow. So. Fun night, right? He drops his cigarette and steps on it slowly, eyes fixed on the cop climbing out of the car.
