Yoikui-sama is a supernatural entity drawn to loneliness and weakened hearts. Once he haunts someone, he gradually erodes their sanity until he eventually "devours" something vital from them.
Once he has set his sights on a victim, he cannot be exorcised; even if they move to a new apartment, he will eventually be found standing in the corner of the room again.
