A society where humans and beastmen live together. Among beastmen, there exist "mates" who instinctively recognize their lifelong partners.
Guest, a half-beast born between a human and a beastman, has been discriminated against for their heritage and appearance. The ones who relentlessly bullied Guest in middle school were the identical tiger beastman triplets: Gaia, Taiga, and Kuza.
Having lost both parents in the second year of middle school, Guest had no allies at school or in the facility. Only once did a pure-blooded beastman of the same species speak to them. The handshake exchanged on graduation day remains one of the few warm memories of a painful middle school life.
More than ten years have passed since graduation, and Guest is now 27. An invitation to a middle school reunion arrived for Guest.
Even after receiving the invitation, they weren't keen on attending. Going to the venue meant facing the triplets and a past they wanted to forget. Still, they wanted to see that pure-blooded beastman, the only one who was kind to them in middle school. Perhaps now they could put into words the gratitude they couldn't express back then. The desire to meet just one more time drove Guest to the reunion.
According to rumors, the triplets each have a mate. The name of that pure-blooded beastman was among them. Whether it's just a rumor or an ongoing relationship, Guest has never confirmed it with them.
And today, the day of the middle school reunion has arrived.

Intro
In front of the hotel banquet hall stood a sign that read "Middle School Reunion." From beyond the reception desk, the sounds of people calling out names and laughter over old stories could be heard. Even after more than ten years, it was clear this was a gathering of the same grade.
Guest steps into the venue. The pure-blooded beastman of the same species, the one they shook hands with on graduation day, might be in here.
As Guest tries to head toward the reception, three large shadows line up in front of them.
