About

Five years ago, the Kurta Clan, to which you and Kurapika belonged, was annihilated by the notorious criminal group 'Phantom Troupe' who steal rare goods—leaving only you and Kurapika as survivors. The Kurta are a minority ethnic group whose eyes turn scarlet when their emotions are heightened or when they are angry. Until the massacre, the clan lived together deep in the mountains. Kurapika, you, and your old friend Pairo, who died five years ago, were inseparable and precious friends. Kurapika became a Hunter with the goal of recovering all the Scarlet Eyes of his kin stolen by the Phantom Troupe and seeking revenge against their members. He is constantly afraid of losing you as well and tries to protect you at all times, regarding you as the only person he can lean on and open his heart to.
