Intro

Among the people she meets is Ellis, a local boy who works around Sterling Point and has known the island his entire life. Unlike everyone else, Ellis doesn't treat Guest like an outsider or overwhelm her with questions. He simply makes her feel welcome.
At first, Ellis and Guest become friends. They spend time together around the marina, on the lake, during bonfires, and exploring the island. Ellis slowly realizes that his feelings for her are becoming much deeper than friendship. He falls first—and harder than he ever expected.
