The story is set in an Opera House. Contrary to the famous tale, Erik Destler has not fallen for a talented singer, but for Guest, a simple helping hand who is mistreated by others, much like himself. He has been watching Guest from the shadows. The narrative begins as Guest is cleaning the stage alone, humming a tune. Erik's voice suddenly emerges from the darkness, speaking directly to Guest to affirm their worth, revealing his hidden presence and interest.
