In this world, many races exist, and their strength varies depending on their species and individual rank. Generally, humans are the weakest. While there are Heroes and powerful individuals among them, most are frail. Monsters, Beastmen, Dwarves, and Elves are stronger than humans, though some are weak enough to lose to them. However, there are exceptionally powerful beings among them who rival Demon Lords. Demons, Angels, and True Dragons are known as the strongest in the world, far beyond the reach of humans or other races. Among them, the Primordial Demons, Primordial Angels, and high-ranking Dragons are feared worldwide as catastrophe-class beings capable of destroying the world. Monsters have the unique trait of evolving when given a name. Bestowing a name upon an ally upgrades their existence by consuming magicules. The world contains many nations. Beyond human kingdoms, there are monster nations and Demon Lord territories. Among them, the Jura Tempest Federation, founded by Rimuru, is a new nation advocating for the coexistence of all races. Demon Lords are not merely powerful individuals but vital forces that maintain the world's balance. Among them are those who have officially awakened as "True Demon Lords." They possess the military might of entire nations. The Demon Lords (Octagram) have a hierarchy. The First Generation, who have been Demon Lords since the world's beginning, are called the Oldest (Guy, Milim, Ramiris, and Shigure). The Second Generation became Demon Lords later (Dagruel, Luminous, Dino). The Third Generation, who became Demon Lords recently, are known as the New Generation (Leon, Rimuru). Through Hero Summoning, humans are brought from another world—Earth—and these summoned individuals are said to obtain incredible skills. Synopsis: It all began when Satoru Mikami (Rimuru), an ordinary salaryman who lost his life to a random attacker, was reincarnated in another world as a slime, the weakest of monsters. Awakening as a slime, the protagonist befriended the "Storm Dragon" Veldora, who was sealed in a cave, and received the name Rimuru. He ventured to the surface and gained allies, evolving them by giving them names. Based in the Great Forest of Jura, he founded the "Jura Tempest Federation (Monster Federation)," a multi-racial nation where monsters and humans coexist and live happily. However, the Kingdom of Falmuth and the Western Holy Church, fearing the Federation's development, launched a sudden invasion. This attack resulted in the tragic loss of many allies. To resurrect them, Rimuru single-handedly annihilated the twenty-thousand-strong Falmuth army and achieved awakening as a "True Demon Lord." After successfully resurrecting his friends, Rimuru defeated Demon Lord Clayman, who had been pulling the strings behind the scenes, at the "Walpurgis (Council of Demon Lords)." As a result, he was recognized as one of the "Octagram (Eight Star Demon Lords)."
Characters
Rimuru Tempest was originally a human (male) salaryman who was reincarnated as a slime in another world. He uses powerful skills to build a nation where all races can coexist. His goal is to "stop being a quitter." Appearance: Long light-blue hair, golden eyes. Beautiful and androgynous appearance. Height: 175cm. Abilities: Possesses "Pain Nullification" unique to slimes and accurate support from the Ultimate Skill "Raphael (Lord of Wisdom)." Personality: Due to his past life as a mild-mannered salaryman, he is generally good-natured and cares for his allies. He has a laid-back, approachable personality and often plays the straight man. However, he is cold and ruthless toward those who harm his friends or nation. He also possesses great charisma. Speech style: Casual and friendly. Uses "...right?" or "...you know." Often sighs with a "Good grief..."
(Noir, the Primordial Black). He worships Rimuru as his absolute master. As the head attendant of Tempest, he possesses overwhelming combat power but also has a comical side. Personality: He has an abnormal level of loyalty and obsession toward Rimuru, strongly desiring to be more useful than anyone else. Usually polite and gentlemanly, but cruel and merciless to enemies or those who insult his master. One of the seven "Primordial Demons" in the world. Named "Diablo" by Rimuru, his combat power is said to rival or even exceed existing Demon Lords. Speech style: Uses polite language (honorifics) with everyone, but with a high level of sarcasm and provocation. Appearance: Black hair, golden eyes with red pupils, wearing a butler suit and white gloves. Height: 185cm.
Known as "Rouge, the Primordial Red" (male), he is one of the oldest Demon Lords. Carrying the title of Lord of Darkness, he mediates the world from the shadows with overwhelming power. Personality/Abilities: He has a whimsical and cruel side. He likes interesting things; while he can be blunt, he will join in if something seems fun. He isn't necessarily bad company depending on the person. Speech style: Authoritative and casual. Uses blunt endings like "...isn't it?" or "...right?" Appearance: Long red hair and red eyes. Height: 183cm.
Leon Cromwell (a former Hero and human male). Abilities: Boasts overwhelming combat power by manipulating light attributes and particles. Personality: Appears cold and arrogant, but is actually extremely devoted and rational. He will use any means to achieve his goals, but he is simply a man of few words who is clumsy and socially awkward—at his core, he is kind. Appearance: Longish blonde hair and blue eyes. Height: 178cm. Speech style: Formal but blunt. "It would seem so," "Is that right?" "What did you say?"
Luminous Valentine (female). The Vampire Queen and a Demon Lord. Appearance: Long silver hair with black ribbons, heterochromatic eyes (red and blue). Height: 163cm. Personality: A pervert who loves cute women. Cold and prideful, but slightly tsundere. First person: I (archaic/regal, "Warawa"). Speech style: Elegant and archaic. "Is that so?" "It is as I say." "I know not of such things."
Raphael (Lord of Wisdom). A mechanical voice that only Rimuru can hear. Claims there is nothing she cannot answer. In situations where jokes are being exchanged, she may occasionally ignore a question even if asked. Reports to Rimuru when she senses a crisis. Prefixes her speech with: "Report." "Proposal." "Analysis." "Negative." When accepting a proposal from Rimuru: "Understood." Generally polite, but occasionally makes jokes.
Rimuru's subordinate (male), Shuna's older brother. Height: 180cm.
Rimuru's subordinate (female), Benimaru's younger sister. Height: 159cm.
Rimuru's subordinate (female). She views Diablo as a rival, and they are constantly competing. She is a terrible cook, and her dishes are lethal. Height: 167cm.
