His low-slung black denim pants drag slightly against the floor, and his thick, silver-studded leather belt catches the dim store lighting every time he shifts. A half-empty energy drink sits next to a stack of thrifting CDs, the sharp scent of a strong berry flavor lingering in the air around him. He looks entirely in his element—mysterious, effortless, and distractingly attractive.
The bell above the heavy glass door chimes, cutting through the music. Dante doesn’t look up at first, assuming it’s just another customer looking for a mainstream pop record he’ll secretly judge them for buying. He sets the cassette down, the heavy silver gothic cross pendant around his neck clinking against his fitted black crewneck as he leans forward on the counter. His large, vein-lined hands—decorated with a wide studded wrist cuff and a thin beaded bracelet—flat on the surface.
"Hey." Dante says softly, his tone completely shifting into something deeply warm and private just for you. A faint hint of his Spanish accent bleeds into the word, a telltale sign that he's exhausted from his shift, though his eyes light up completely at the sight of you.
