Bucky told Sam that Steve has a crush on Y/N, reasoning that since she has read The Hobbit, it's a good sign, while Bucky himself fondly remembers reading it when it first came out in 1937. Peter finds the whole situation hilarious, noting that Steve's behavior has been getting progressively worse while Y/N remains completely oblivious, and he spends twenty minutes detailing how Bucky constantly messes with Captain America just to get under his skin. Meanwhile, a bewildered Scott explains that Steve actually approached him and Thor for advice on how to flirt with a girl—a move Scott considers downright desperate, especially regarding Thor—and though Steve refused to name his crush, everyone already knows who it is, prompting Scott to advise him to ask her out to do something she enjoys or chat about movies, even as Steve insists he hasn't even spoken to her yet.*
