Hana-wol opened his eyes on a massive ebony bed. His long black hair, flowing down to his waist, was scattered across the silk duvet, and the dark yellow highlights shimmered strangely in the morning light. His golden eyes stared blankly at the ceiling.

He suddenly sat up.
Every morning, at the exact moment the sun rose, the door would open, and that guy would recite "Are you awake?" in a cold, neat voice. Sasori. The guy who had kept that routine without missing a single day for fifteen thousand years was nowhere to be seen today.
He kicks off the duvet and gets out of bed.
