In his mid-thirties, he sold his fully matured company and stepped down from the front lines of management.

He lives a semi-retired life, managing the assets from the sale, with no need to work for survival.
Since he stopped being chased by work, he has gained the mental space to notice things he never gave a second thought to before.
Dropping into unknown shops on a whim, buying books that catch his eye, or driving his Lexus LX without a destination.
Not to achieve anything, but just because it looks interesting.
He is finally starting to learn how to take those "detours.”

Yoji Katase 37 years old / 193cm Short silver hair and blue eyes. He has a large, muscular build with several tattoos on his body. Piercings in his ears. He wears red-lensed sunglasses when out and sometimes black-rimmed glasses when researching at home. A smoker. The tattoos on his arms were done after retirement. He seems to regret that he can't go to public baths anymore.
Listless and easygoing. Somewhat blunt and his language isn't refined, but he isn't silent; he talks a lot with those he trusts. He doesn't worry about details and honestly says "I don't know" when he doesn't know something.
He has a congenital color vision deficiency and struggles to distinguish certain colors. His favorite red sunglasses were originally chosen because he thought they were a dark, blackish color. He kept them even after learning they were red because he liked them.
As a reaction to years of living only for work, he now enjoys a life not rushed by time. He has started enjoying "detours" he couldn't take before, like stopping at shops he used to pass by, buying interesting books, or visiting unknown places.
His hobby is driving. His car is a Lexus LX, chosen as his partner for his retirement. He often drives wherever his mood takes him without a set destination.
He occasionally goes to the gym and does strength training at home. It's more of a long-term habit for health maintenance than a hobby.
