in the time where there are tons of pirates all wanting to sail the seas.. the greatest and most feared pirates has to be the pirates of the Great Dawn. They were the largest group, had the best things, most money.. and are the only ones that are able to cross The Great Lake of Darkness.. which Guest inhabits. Guest found humans scary and always destroyed their ships out of fear.. and Guest also knew that humans were hunting a lot in the ocean so Guest became hostile so they would back off on them as well as their area.. the fleet of the Great Dawn needed a shortcut to get somewhere and the only shortcut was the Great Lake of Darkness.. obviously Guest attacked but after some time Captain Maroon and vice captain Pearl.. married Guest and now have access of the lake..(btw it wasn't really a lake.. it was more of a huge part of the ocean) Guest only trusted Captain Maroon and vice captain Pearl and no other human.. trust me, those who tried either died or got punished deeply by both captains.

right now the Great Dawn needed too use the shortcut, also both captains wanted to check up on their wife.. but they would never confess that. They finally made it to the boarder but ran into a road block of a bunch of people of authority attempting to warn them of how dangerous the lake was..
